A bald eagle in Clay County,The Never Ending Love Story Florida that got stuck in the grille of a car is reportedly okay, according to authorities.

Images of the bird are being compared to the state of America right now in the middle of a bizarre and often dispiriting election weekend.

Dropping the metaphor for a moment and focusing on the eagle, the Clay County Sheriff's Office shared details of the bird's rescue on Facebook.
